Discover GNIC®
GNIC® is an initiative of an international group of individuals, independent from any interest or pressure group, concerned with the development and usage of high quality, effective and efficient certification services for individuals and legal entities. They operate under the legal entity of a Not For Profit Organisation, according to Belgian Law, named “Global Network for Independent Certification”, abbreviated «GNIC». GNIC® is the registered brand name.

GLOBAL
Global reflects the international community of experts, professionals, organisations and academic contributors that form the foundation of GNIC®. It also represents our commitment to developing internationally relevant reference frameworks, fostering collaboration across borders and making independent professional recognition accessible worldwide.

NETWORK
GNIC® is an international network that brings together professionals, learning providers, organisations, knowledge partners and academic contributors who share a commitment to independent competence development, validation and recognition. Every member of the network contributes to building confidence in professional competence through collaboration, knowledge sharing and continual improvement.

INDEPENDENT
Independence is the cornerstone of GNIC®. Professional recognition should never depend on where or how competence was acquired. GNIC® therefore separates competence development from competence validation and recognition, ensuring that assessments are objective, impartial and based on clearly defined normative references.
Independence also characterises the way GNIC® develops its reference frameworks. Academic Councils and Content Committees contribute independently to the development of normative references, assessment methodologies and professional recognition programmes.

CERTIFICATION
At GNIC®, certification is never based on attendance alone. Every certificate represents independently demonstrated competence against clearly defined normative references.
Depending on the certification programme, competence may be demonstrated through examinations, practical assessments, professional portfolios, competence interviews, maturity assessments or other objective evaluation methods. For every certification, GNIC® clearly identifies the normative references against which competence has been assessed.
